Every IEP Team needs to consider whether a student needs assistive technology devices or services to access his or her education. Assistive Technology may include high tech devices such as voice output devices, or low tech devices such as a picture schedule.
Woodburn School District's Assistive Technology Committee (or A-Team) provides (1)technical assistance to teams to help determine if there is a need for assistive technology, (2) a venue to vet the ever-changing world of technological options, and (3)on-going staff development on the use of assistive technology devices.
